Yarra River Mullet

Post by saratoga » Mon Feb 07, 2022 5:41 pm

I live in Hawthorn and regularly go for a fish in the Yarra next to Leonda Evens Venue.
Catch lots of bream and eels but throw them back in, oh and the occasional doggy bag that people thrown in the Yarra.

I am looking for other spots to try and catch some Mullet in the Yarra.
Does anyone know of any good spots around Richmond.
I am not sure if Mullet come up that far.

Thank you in advance.

I’ve heard of big schools at the end of Anderson st near the botanic gardens during the mullet run.

There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.
