Port Phillip Boat Ramps

Post by Armadyllo » Wed Nov 09, 2011 11:52 am

Hi all I was hoping to get a few opinions on boat ramps from mordialloc down to st kilda, I'm looking for a new one since I cant use the mordialloc creek one due to boat canopy hitting the bridge, I had a look on google earth and it looks like there is quite a few through there, would be interested to know peoples expeiences and opions.

Thanks

Dyll

If you are prepared to go south, Patterson River is the best - particularly at this busy time of year.

Hi Dragonfly

I was at Patterson river last friday night great facility but I thought I was in the middle of chapel st, it was just chaos there were 2 times where boats nearly ran into mine.

Yep, but there are 4 ramps, so you get on the water quicker than some of the other ramps. Half-moon is hopeless, North Road can get really busy and St. Kilda is chatic at this time of year - as they all are.

Anyway, whatever gets you on the water... :r :lolf:
