That's a nice aquaponic set up silloth, I have a 1200lt tub and want to do something similar but will have problems killing the fish once they're grown.
I've been keeping aquariums for nearly 40 years, currently I have a 4x2x2.5 reef tank, a 4x2x2 freshwater tropical, a 3ft'r with a Murray Short neck turtle and a Bass and a bowl with a goldfish.

Image
Marine fish are my favourite, I have a Sailfin Tang that's well over 20 years old now and still going strong.

Image
Kept some native fish for a while a few years back but they get too big, I still have the bass though.

My son found this Murray Short neck in our front yard 6 years ago, must have been an escapee as Footscray's long way from
the Murray.

great setup Trumpeter love the marine aquariums
rainbow trout are easy to farm but the brook trout were harder they are not as skittish
but unfortunately they cannot handle water temps over 21c thats why i keep silver and golden perch
they can handle warmer water temps have some perch 4 years old about 35cm aquaponics is all about clean insectiside free veges

I don't keep fish anymore (living in the city) but always had various tanks growing up - from goldfish to cichlids to bristle nose, plecostomus, silver sharks and marine fish. I just love fish, really.
