Was recently googling snapper reports, and had a sniff of a burley trail. Following the scent I found a well presented fresh bait. I couldn't say no. Before I knew it, I was hooked!!

Late last snapper season around Feb I was searching for a spot to fish land based for snapper and it led me to the 2012 snapper reports, I signed up then and there and the rest as they is history

I was just getting back into fishing and in particular looking for information on kayak fishing when I found the site on Google. I lurked for a bit to see if the site was for me, then signed up.

My favourite thing about this forum is that there is a broad scope of knowledge across all different types of fishing, but it is still mostly relevant to those of us living in Melbourne.

Decided to get back into fishing dec 2012. Googled "Victoria fishing forum" and from memory this was the second result. Tried to sign up to the first result but they told me that hotmail and gmail didn't count and i needed a "real" email address.

Introduced myself and asked a question, got overloaded with friendly responses and have basically been on here every day since. Also caught a load of fish based on the advice from everyone.

I think I typed "Fishing for Beginners" or "How to...." and this popped up in the results.

I had been on forums for my footy teams before but to find one about fishing throughout Victoria... wowee I was stoked. Had to join!
