Good tip. Happened to me once, live mullet got hit and it swam like 50 metres in 2 seconds, thought the circle hook already did the job, but didn't. Lift and nothing. No scaled mullet too though, just empty hook. You can use big live baits kg plus.
Big bait gives off more distress signals.
I know guys who use 2kg tailor.
If you get a hit on live bait and he drops it often he will be back in a minute or two.
So dont reel in leave it.Next time you get a hit and it was dropped or if you can recall You will see the mullet has no scales on.
He first scales it then comes back to eat.
To get the big live bait far out get or make sliders.

try a few different types mullet might not work so try garfish or vice versa just dont use one thing because they mightn eat it give them a variety

All my rigs are customised. A rig is simply a means of presenting a bait in a certain situation.
