Best winds for top end

Post by Sickrat » Fri Apr 12, 2019 7:42 pm

Hi all,

I posted this topic before but it got deleted when we had that server meltdown (failed update I think it was).

My question is about the top end of Westernport - which winds are best to fish in, and which are the ones to avoid (possibly thinking of going out after work tomorrow arvo).

I used to fish from Hastings where it was pretty straight forward (Northern/Southerly can be bad if against tide) but wasn't sure about the top end, as the geography is different with French Island being in the way?

Many thanks for the replies, and sorry to who replied in the first one and I didn't get to see.

Thanks gents. I was more curious about avoiding Wind vs Tide - I’m assuming that the tide runs NE on an incoming and SW on an out going? Or is it still North/South like Hastings?
