hi next Saturday i am going on a fishing charter with tidemaster charters any advice should i bring a squid rod to catch some fresh bait?

Don’t be the guy on a charter that brings his own stuff. It’ll only annoy the captain etc.

He is paid to provide a service. If he is any good he’ll have good stuff to use not to mention faith in the equipment. Solid hooks, knots etc. if you bring your stuff and it fails costing them fish it damages the experience for all. Plus it doesn’t help with sharing fish if it’s a multi charter.

If you’ve booked the boat it’s a different story. But if it’s an individual charter I’d take nothing but food/water/sunscreen and go with the flow.

Never been with them. Where do they launch? Patterson river?
Pinkies and flathead are generally biting this time of year, you'll get them. Hopefully you'll get some big ones.

they launch from tooradin theres a little jetty and you board from there.

Dont take anything onboard with asking them (skipper) first..
ive never been with them or heard about them.
