Who are you?

Post by Joker91 » Sat Sep 10, 2022 8:20 pm

Headed out last night from Altona from 6:30pm - 10:30pm.

I’m not a fan of fishing at night due to the lack of lights however, had a itch that needed to be scratched so I thought I needed to head out and get it out of my system.

We parked up in around 4m of water in front of the ramp and tried our luck. Was really hoping for a gummy or whiting but it was really quiet. Managed to get one pinky at around 32cm.

Pulled up this little fella also. Any idea what it is? Are they good for anything (bait)?

Gobbleguts. Never tried using them as bait but my guess is probably not worth it because it's not a very oily fish. Edible but also not worth the effort at that size.

Thanks mate. He would probably disappear in the pan.
