Where did you catch it mate,

I am having a look through some fish books we have here and am struggling a bit.

I couldn't find it in the estuary sections. But it may be a juvie of something with only adult photos.

Any more info would be great.

I think it is some sort of juvenile wrass.

Was caught in Swan River perth, land based in about 30cm of water under structure (logs)
Kept hitting my lure but not taking it, swapped to bait and got it.
I caught bigger ones up to about 15-20cm in deeper water.
