Can't wait for this covid stuff to end!
Fishing, smoking meat and fish, bbq, and beers!
I'm definitely getting an offset smoking bbq.

I heard it needs to be seasoned first, true? And how? Just rub veg oil on the inside surface?

Seb , , , , rb, Tex & I have already started with some of that :-D

Cheers :ch: Bugs

Can of spray on canola oil. Get it burning hot. Spray it all inside. Close it up and let it heat back up. Reapply a couple of times. That’s about it.

Not hard

Oh so coat with oil with heat. No need to apply before lighting up the hotbeads?
That's easy. Cheers!

That’s pretty much the basis for a lot of rubs you can buy. But trust me. The purchased rubs above are worth trying. Then try and emulate them if you can be bothered.

In terms of how much you use on a brisket. You might use $3 of rub on a $120 cut of meat. It’s fairly insignificant.
Ducky boy you talked me into the boars night out white lightning double garlic butter taste,s great out of the jar i have been using three little pigs kansas city championship rub i really like it and meat mitch which is okay thank,s for the head,s up

Haha. I’ve tried a lot. And we get consistent comp scores these days. That one feature heavily on a few of our handins.

No issues with them mate. They are great to use and can convert the humble weber into a great smoker. Check out Australasian bbq alliance on Facebook out. Plenty of posts in there.

Do an online order from the que club and buy some rubs while you’re at it.

Greenwood bbq treebark for lamb
Boars night out white lightning and double butter for general purpose
Loot n booty everything for general purpose

With those 3 rubs you can get everything tasting pretty awesome. From there you can go down the rabbit hole.
Thank,s mate picked up the last one they had at bbq plus there just down the road from me next time i will grab some boars night out
Greenwoods bbq treebark rock,s
