Practice with Braid

Post by JS270 » Fri Aug 26, 2016 10:19 pm

Will be going up to Port Macquarie for a level line comp as well as some surf fishing so needed to do a bit of practice with the threadline and straight braided line. Am currently playing around with the 19kg Gliss line and finding that it is producing some good distances with the 4 oz leads that we will have to use on the comp.

Throwing 4 oz Level line

Will also put this outfit through its paces for the coming snapper season :water:

The durability of the 19 KG bliss is reasonable for the tournament casting but not sure how it would handle repeated use in the surf where the sand and rocks would wear it faster than I would like.

After the Comp on the 3rd I will try it along the norther beaches :-D

Nice JS!

Just picked up an AFAW, would love to catch up and get some pointers next time you're down the paddock.
