Yep...a great place for a get together! No need to use the gym...large carp give you a workout! :) Has anyone fished there lately?

I find lakes hard fishing especially duck feeding family picnic lakes like this one I've aught a duck and a goose outta there but I know there are some whoppers in there
If I'm not fishing, I'd rather be fishing!

Duck probably tastes better than carp so I'd call that a win

Fight hard on ligh gear bahahaa na the looks I got trying to unhook the prïck! The goose busted me off straight away had no chance haha! I know most people will be using bread but lesson learned I'll be using corn!
If I'm not fishing, I'd rather be fishing!

Hooking birds is a pain, haven't had one take a bait yet but got a few on lures. Really bizarre when they take off mid fight, just feels plain wrong.

Corn did the damage last time.. havent fished it since I went down with Amanda & boyf one arvo and Amanda actually got bites off the bait tube stuffed with DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS! But that was yonks ago

Thinking at this time my choice of bait will be corn. Only because I won't have time to organise anything else! May go with some corn soaked in maple syrup alongside corn soaked in black food dye and strawberry essence! Sort of the 'tigers' look! Not long to go now.

Try soaking some in black sambuca, you will get the aniseed smell/flavour and also a blueish colour to the corn :tongue:
