Salmon session

It’s been awhile and with the lack of reports I thought I’d write one up.
Yesterday the missus and I took the boat out in search of some fresh bait for the up coming snapper season.
On the way to a squid spot we noticed some activity on the waters surface. Turns out it was a big bait ball with lots jumping out.
I quickly tied a lure and threw it on the outskirts of the school and reeled it back in. Bang was on first cast with a decent size salmon.
We continued for over an hour and caught plenty for bait and a few for a feed.
Was good just to be out on the water again and hooking up.
Next will be in search for some snappers!
