Martha madness..

Post by CarlG » Wed May 07, 2014 7:33 pm

Hit the rocks tonight, raced down from work, to a virtual millpond of an evening. Started casting a little shimano waxwing lure, and soon saw ripples appearing all around, as baitfish were getting smashed by a big school of salmon.. Seconds later, it was on for young and old, had a ball as I raced the little lure popper style across the surface, to see it engulfed by salmon time after time.. Had about 10 or 15 minutes of sheer craziness, before they cleared off.. But some of the best fishing I've had in a long while..finished up with ten for the night.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Cheers men.. .
Yeah mate, all on the waxwing..got some bigger ones for trolling, and their action is awesome. The fish tonight just went beserk for it, chasing it flat out across the surface, mad fun.
