Full bore salmon..

Post by CarlG » Fri May 30, 2014 7:30 pm

Hit the office after work tonight, to be met by a lowish tide, and low swell.. Wandered past a few bait fishos, all looking quiet on the salmon front. Headed up to my fave spot, (Doug knows the one lol), met a bloke on the way there who reckoned he'd lost a couple, which gave me heart. Got upto the location, and bang, it was on for young and old. Twenty minutes of a fish a cast, with the fish chasing the lure virtually onto the beach...varied from under a kilo to about 1.7. Kept four, threw a stack back..ripper fun again..

Great fun! Doesn't seem to make much of a difference with the tides atm... A bit of persistence and you tend to get a hit or two!
