Try docklands, either north wharf, right up the end or Lorimer St, Port Melb, near the westgate bridge.

I've been in docklands 2 times last week and nothing much over there, mainly small flatty or bait mullet ... it is actually hard to get good size fish over there due to the boats high traffic in the evenings.

good luck anyway!

Lagoon pier isnt that crash hot as you have noticed for yourself , try fishing the Newport "Hotties" & the Yarra side opposite the Hotties or Brighton Breakwall .

Last time I went to the hotties there were fish everywhere, jumping all over the place. Tailer I presume. Threw a few lures around but no takers. The yarra side is always chockers... Have fun finding a spot for yourself.
