Post by Watp » Mon Jul 22, 2019 8:38 am

Just wondering if anyone can help me with nay info on what could be a compatible transducer for a 1st Gen hook sounder as I am drawing a blank. The preferred type I would like is the bullet type if possible.

Thank you both for the replies, I manged to have find the two types that are compatible. One shoot through style and the other transom mount, gone with the first as I had way to many issues with shoot through style.

Bit of late reply now.
But did you mean you went with the transom.mount option cause you had issues with shoot through hull?
This transducers are small anyway so a transom mount option is easy and not as painful as mounting some of the larger units available these days
Good luck with it all and hopefully it's all reading well.
I suggest you look up YouTube for lowrance transducer leveling to see how to setup your transducer properly to read when sounding

Thank you all for the replies and my apologies for the delayed reply myself! All is working good now and I can finally enjoy my fishing without the constant drama of having to mess around with this stuff all the time. It's amazing how you get the that little bit of confidence back in your gear and you start catching fish straight away.. also a working sounder helps :)
