Boat rewire in Geelong?

Post by jfel » Thu Jan 16, 2020 9:43 pm

I’m looking for recommendations for a complete rewire of a 4.5m half cab in Geelong? Not game to attempt it myself. Is there anyone who offers a mobile service?

Also, what do you think is a reasonable cost for this (basic setup - nav lights, sounder, bilge).

Help appreciated.

most workshops would charge somewhere between 100-130 an hr for that type of work.

Be a few fours in it, plus parts...

Be somewhere around $500-$1000 depending on how much you have to do, what needs to be replaced, parts etc.

Price would also depend on how good you want it to look. Keep in mind to try get a marine workshop to do the work. Majority of work ive seen done by Auto elecs or 4wd guys, they dont use appropriate joiners/terminals/wire for saltwater environments.
