Slow refresh rate on Lowrance Hook 7

Hi to all I am currently running a Lowrance Hook 7 and have noticed that my directional refresh rate appears to be slow. Which can be very fustrating when approaching a waypoint. Has anyone experienced this? And were they able to overcome it? I researched online and one article said to increase your refresh rate to once every second. But I am unable to find that option on the oweners manual. Thanks Karl
