Boat sharing

Post by Gavmelb » Mon Mar 27, 2023 3:44 pm

Hi all,
I have always had trailer boats up to 6 mtrs. Recently I have been a bit frustrated with towing and hassles and lines at the ramp. I have always looked with envy at larger boats for a more comfortable ride and having more facilities and entertaining options than a trailer boat, but was always deterred by fees at marinas and maintenance costs. Considering most boat owners use their boats less than 10% of the time I always thought a well run boat sharing was an option. Maybe sharing a 30-36 ft fly bridge with maybe 4-5 participants.(cost maybe 30,000 a share) However, Melbourne doesn’t seem to embrace the idea. Has anyone had experience here. Love to hear any comments.

anything's possible.
i can see multiple people wanting to use the boat at the same time when the weather is nice or when the snapper are on.
