Re: Looking for a New Boat after opinions
A basically bare bones 24yo 532f with no canopy, a very rarely used (going by the ad) Yammie that almost screams corrosion problems given its likely the original motor, a single axle trailer for $21k? Maybe for an original 1998 version but yeah nah. Oh and he wants a bowridere.welch wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 3:43 pmif your still looking there is this https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/dandeno ... 1237195864

Re: Looking for a New Boat after opinions
Try and get as new as you can bonny a bit like buying a car. A next to new motor is safer than second hand or you will wondering how many genuin hours it has really done. Our 17 k Quintrex 4.3 meter boat 40 hp mercury is ok for 2 people but not the best fishing boat in my opinion. We have added 1k sounder plus extras, but still not satisfied when the weather gets a bit rough. This boat was not my selection even though is was practically new. Electric start is always a bonus as this is as well, but i would have prefered a center console and a canopy,a bit like a half cabin. Can't wait to sell it and get a proper fishing boat. Just my 2 cent's worth. 20 k all up is a bit much and not be 100% totally satisfied, even though it flies in calm to moderate conditions. Third boat and we still haven't gotten it right.

Asking 20k, negotiate him down to 17, 18K. Not a 4 stroke but at the end of the day you're not going to find it easy to buy a boat of this sort that is less than 10 years old and not over 20K.
