What do you reckon this costs? Do you get change from $300k?
I don't think so. Not with the electronics package that's on it.
Reckon you would get much change from $500K
There would be heaps of change from 300k.

I cant see the rig costing more than 200k.

Check out boat sales. This is the current model, with some upgrades, but no electronics for $250k https://www.boatsales.com.au/boats/deta ... 8292/?Cr=1

Add another $100k+ for electronics? Did you price up that WASSP multibeam system he has? BIG money.

I was miles off.

With that being said what an absurb rip off.

You can build a custom 8m plate boat and have what ever design you want for considerably less..

For comparison a high quality caribbean 27ft boat is starting around 170k with the more expensive flybridge configuration still being cheaper than the stabi...

Whittley SL26HT starting at about 140k with all options 160k, not sure what the price of the new 28HT is but given the price of the smaller models I don't see the 28HT being over 180k.

Yeah, there's no denying they're expensive. I don't know enough about the cost of materials and construction to say what I think they 'should' cost, but people are buying them and the market is what ultimately sets the price.

I have a mate who is going to buy the 2750 when he sells his business. The funny thing is that his business makes things out of metal. Maybe he sees the value in it better than we do.

I wish I was in a position to be wondering if I should buy a Stabi, Whittley or Caribbean. That's a high quality problem!

You've got to hand it to Stabicraft, they're done a pretty sweet job at establishing a price premium for their boats. I guess if it was me with the $300k I'd give a lot of thought to how much more unsinkable the equivalent Stabi is to a custom boat or Caribbean. That and the build quality seems to be most of the basis for their price, but I'd be thinking pretty hard about the value of paying $100k more than a decent equivalent.

Not that I can afford a boat anyway, but does anyone else do the foam-filled pontoon style with the big positive buoyancy numbers?
