Tip of the week...

Post by hornet » Wed Mar 11, 2020 9:58 pm

Recently the rubber on the hand grip on my 1996 25hp Johnson has worn away exposing hard plastic, very uncomfortable to operate and slippery with fish slime on my hands.
I looked at a replacement grip which are fairly rare and * Expensive ! *
Being an ideas man ( read tight azz ) I have found a cheap alternative ! Wilson Cushion Pro Replacement Tennis Grip !
Only $10 and looks a million bucks, this will work on any tiller from any manufacturer !
Don't buy an over $ inflated grip just put this on, did I tell you how good it looks ? like steering with a tennis racket !

Another good thing to use and would last longer than the tennis grip is heat shrink

Cheers, Anth
