So far ive never had a hook stuck while on the boat, but i did get a little tiny fly hook stuck in my finger while camping last year.

It went in past the barb and i was twisting that little bugger all over the place for a few minutes trying to get it out and it would not budge. I was contemplating a trip to the nearest town with a doctor when luckily i remembered a technique id seen on Rex Hunt 25+ years ago where you kinda wrap a line under the hook and press the eye of the hook down and pull on the line and the hook came straight out. Somehow it takes the pressure off the barb and lets the hook slide out.
The only thing better than serenity is a two stroke at full throttle!

There is something I don’t miss moving to four stroke.
