Trailer modification.

The three rollers and their brackets will need to be replaced and was thinking if I can salvage the brackets I can bolt on the centre beam. It's a bit of a cost thing as if I'm going to replace the rollers with rollers I'll with do a full ladder or rollers which is costly.Plus I've got all the materials for the beam so won't be costing me anything.
And the keel beam will be a walkway for launch/retrieval and also full length keel support for the boat. The metal keel is about 3 cm wide so don't think it will cause to much resistance, plus it's a pretty steep ramp that I mainly launch from.

Sounds like a good option if it works well. Hopefully someone can shed some light, I've never seen a trailer set up like that myself.

Yeah nah. The whole keel sitting flat on a carpeted bunk is going to stick like a ***** and you'll have a hard time getting it off without floating it. If you're set on ditching rollers then ditch the carpet for poly skids. But you still run the risk of damaging the weld along that keel depending on the boat and the condition of the original welding

Stay with the rollers,as long as they are free running and the side skids are barely contacting the hull you should have no problem
I've had 3 tinnies from 4.2m to 5.3m and all trailers had keel rollers without any issues
