Re: Motor warranty
No and neither should they .
That's just like saying those who use their boat once-a-year which there are plenty of should have their warranty extended .

Re: Motor warranty
Yes I suppose there could be something in your statement .
The thing I am getting at is in what way do you think that anybody should be entitled to such a thing it's not the company's fault just have to cop it on the chin and move forward .

Re: Motor warranty
Are you asking if Manufacturers should have a grace period on the servicing requirements to keep their factory warranty considering people can’t get to a mechanic or whatever? Or if they should extend the warranty period due to lack of use.
If 1. That’s would probably be an awesome “goodwill” gesture by a brand that would help win customers etc.
If 2. No, don’t be that person. Why should a company need to wear the costs of such a thing? It screams entitlement.

Re: Motor warranty
Interesting topic....be good if they could extend the warranty for an extra 12 months for those that use their motors commercially (those guys are going to need all the help they can get).
I noticed Yamaha extended the warranty an extra 3 months

Re: Motor warranty
its funny you say that, we have 2 cars, and they have both only done about 1000k each since last services 7-8 months ago. old cars though so no warranties.sandef wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 2:45 pmNot extend the warranty just the service requirement car companies have done itducky wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 6:21 amAre you asking if Manufacturers should have a grace period on the servicing requirements to keep their factory warranty considering people can’t get to a mechanic or whatever?
