Boat capsized at Werribee South

Post by SteveoTheTiger » Sun Feb 21, 2021 3:16 pm

I read in the news this morning that a boat capsized and woman died yesterday afternoon just off the Werribee South beach. Apparently they were in a small tinny.

I was down there yesterday afternoon getting a coffee from the take away shop (or trying too, but their machine wasnt working). And i remember saying to the missus that it was very rough, not a great day to head out. There was a few people kite surfing, which is an indication of the conditions.

I heard this news. Always sad to hear such stories.

The wind change in the afternoon made the bay really rough.

It was predicted to be change in arvo.
Was at the park with kids in arvo ,saw at least 2 small boats attempt to go out n turn around in channel.
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish, catch a fish
