Have either of you blokes gone from a Quintrex to Stacer or vise versa and can comment on the hull and ride differences? Pretty similar boats except for the hull shapes.

no i haven't, yes they're different shapes but i doubt there would be much difference really, more just looks on the front half, back half looks identical.
those 525 easyrider's are pretty sweet i think.

I have a 475 stacer bay master, bro in law quinnie 480 bow rider. In medium chop the quinnie craps on the stacer hull. The sharp angle of the quintrex hull at the bow makes a huge difference. But if getting a bow rider would always go 5m+, due to the squeeze on fishing space.

that is kinda true if you are doing the traditional anchoring up, and bait fishing out the back, very similar to a cuddy/half cab. you won't have that extra space down back like a runabout.

if your casting lures though its totally differnt, heaps of room up the front and pretty easy access 360 degrees. the more people you have fishing you can start to get in each other's way a bit, but if you have some awareness of each other it's not much of an issue, we do 3 up casting lures regularly.

Realistically going to be two of us casting lures so all good.
I have heard that the Millenium Hull does get through the chop better, but I will rarely be using it for outside. if ever.

Matty H, is either more stable to stand and cast lures from?

My boat has the better stability of the 2, but not sure if this has anything to do with the different layout or not. If just river fishing/boating, the stacer will be cheaper, and just as good. Remember I fish offshore from Torquay, a world of difference to inland requirements. His is powered by a 60 4stroke, mine a 75 2 stroke. Always feels like a strain with the 60…

how far out do you take it and how does it go out there?

realistically for freshwater lure casting, i cant see there being much difference in stability between the 2 hulls, both would be very stable in those conditions.

the 75hp is ideal for the 475 size aluminum boats, i see a few 60s around though.

75 is enormously powerful on a 475, if towing tubes or skiers the obvious choice.
Happy to go out a long way, weather dependant. Been surfing a long time so can pick conditions reasonably well. Pride comes before a fall, happy to call off a launch if in doubt…

very nice, i think you'll be pretty happy with it. it should fly with a 100 on it.
