What kev209 said. If you can't remove the trim, carefully drill holes through it in line with the screws, remove the screws with a long screwdriver then fill the holes with filler when you are done.

Cutting the screws etc. will get them out but leave you with the problem of getting them back in.

Sounds like new windows might be a more simple option man.
Other than that, spanner and phillips tip sound like it could work.

I do completely agree with the 'go fishing' suggestion.
