Gra, that American Honey is infused with Ghost Chilli and it is called "Sting". A bloke "Barney" from another forum who is a Bourbon Lover said to try it , , , , so mate Don and I did, took that bottle and a bottle of Jacks to a Party (rare occurrence, believe it) , , , , The "Sting" was nice on the night (yes we drank what you see is missing from the bottle) and some (well more than some) Jacks. Man o Man , , , , our mouths were still doing the Samba the next day. So what you see in the photo is how the bottle came home two years ago.

BUT

Jacks isn't the same anymore. I'm just loyal to Jacks, for some unknown reason , , , , even though as a company, they aren't that great nor is their standard Jacks as good as it was , , , , there are far better Whiskeys out there for the same price if not a few cents more.

After my Brandy & Scotch affair in my early age, I have been drinking Jacks since my early 20's.

Since I have been drinking it , , , , it has gone from

80's , , , , was 750 ml and 45%

JD 45%.PNG

to , , , , 700 ml and 43%

JD 43%.PNG

to now , , , , 700 ml and 40%

So a call out to any Jacks drinkers , , , , have you noticed the difference?

Cheers , , , , mmmmmm, Cheers, with a Jacks, Bug

I agree Tac, Wild Turkey is a better Whiskey (Bourbon) and ice is the best way to have it. Wild Turkey is similar to what Jacks use to be like. Unfortunately Jacks (standard Jacks) is starting to have a hint of Jim Beam whipper snipper fuel bite to it , , , , a splash of coke soothes that. But the better the Jacks, mmmm

But a nice Whiskey, on ice, kick'n back telling fishing stories with mates is the way , , , , hey, there might even be a true story told , , , , by accident.

Cheers Bug

When I was younger around 16 a mate and I went 50/50 on a bottle of 100 pipers we were pissed and crook as.

Now I normally just enjoy the occasional beer but have been lucky enough to have sampled some quality single malts straight in comparison the Jim’s, Jacks and Johnnies of the world are rocket fuel.
