I listen to Radio Station 104.3 -The Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show ,Christians show is good but his English Grammar is not.
He would say Me,Jack and Patsy-He should say Patsy .Jack and Myself.
I also see naming yourself first comming into reports on this Forum-Me and Whomever
What is going on-Has the language changed or people are getting slack?

Maybe bad grammar or just laziness

Actual communication is about intent.

I like this.

English isn't my first language, I had to learn it and I'm still learning. Always thought native English speakers would have perfect English. Tbh, often I cant even tell its right or wrong, as long as the message passed on as intended.

When I was in school ,many years ago you were taught that the Ladies name comes first -The same as you open a door and let the lady walk in first -Its just good manners.
People of my Dinosaur age communicate with language not a magic box.
If we carnt communicate to each other correctly how can we get our message across to others
Christian O'Connell should know better as he is from Pommie Land and was taught English.
Its just Bad England.

One of the things I find amusing, is when they bugger up sayings.

Just recently, a woman (not a lady) said to a mate that he had "Small Syndrome Man" , , , , I asked her if that was an action figure, like one of The Avengers , , , , she made herself look even more stupid by trying to explain her mistake , , , , while for the rest of the evening, we rubbed salt into her illiterate wound by calling ourselves "Syndrome Man" and "Wing Man", while making flying Superhero actions, everytime we came acrosss her.

Pretty sure I saw that on The Two Ronnies years ago. Classic.

I was born in Vic, raised and schooled ( I dare not say educated ) in QLD. Then moved back to vic after year 11, did year 12 in Vic.
I noticed a big difference in written and spoken language coming from QLD.
Eg I can and sometimes do use cursive writing in the font style I was taught at school.
I’ve never seen anyone in Vic use that font, and it’s always a generation older than me that use cursive writing in Vic.
Most Younger generations can’t even read/understand cursive writing.

Also - re “OK Boomer”, I’m not even a boomer and I can’t wait until the millennials grow older and have younger generation to content with, ha ha it will be classic grab the popcorn stuff. If I’m around, and the popcorn is available in a tube ha ha.
Millennials are very good and standing up for themselves and what they believe in, maybe a bit lacking in life experience but they will get there.

Probably every generation has the same relatively similar thoughts,,,
