The attached photo is from the Weekly Times with an article about Cubbie Station. All you have to do is raise the roads across your property by a metre or so and this is what happens! I do not begrudge farmers their fair share of the water resource - they have to survive like the rest of us - but when property owners are allowed to get away with this sort of water diversions it makes a serious mockery of any realistic planning for optimum water use across the Murray-Darling system.

they flood irrigate, also they arnt allowed to take any water untill domestic was done. plus cubbie station is technicly queensland/nsw border also thats all flood water. https://www.afr.com/companies/agricultu ... 227-p544x5
