Print out a big poster of your study room and hang it up in the boat as a back drop.

Cheers, Anth

Pro tip: get WiFi in your boat, or a dongle or something
Just need to hotspot from your mobile :tu:

Lots of great ideas here gents, can you imagine out in a boat and on a conference call or meeting through your laptop and during an intense business discussion you hear a drag from your reel going bzzzzzzzzz, then you gotta fight the fish of a lifetime while still talking business but with a grunt at every rod lift. Cheers for the laugh boys, this week has been hectic.

Pretty sure Loom or Zoom or one of those let you set your background so you can choose a really boring office setting to block out the console of your boat
Zoom, there's a tutorial going round some of the uni facebook pages on how to set it up so that the background is a rolling loop of you appearing to pay attention.

Depending on the software you use a few of them seem to have background blurring or altering mechanisms that would be very handy for this

So how many of you have been told to work from home thanks to Coronavirus?
*Any tips on how to conduct business calls, video conferencing, etc. so people don't know I'm out on the water would be greatly appreciated.
Broken webcam; noise-cancelling mic only... :D

Sadly, I'm in that exact predicament, and working from home.

Finally got word from my work (MCG), we are officially closed for 1 month after last nights match. If it stays at that then it wont be too bad.. much past that and things will really start to hurt.

My employer (Spotless) is looking at redeploying us into cleaning roles around the city.. better than nothing.
