Sinsimella - I did, I’m not sure if the old grout was harder than normal as I went through a few “grout removal” bits, then gave in and used an angle grinder. Once it dries it will be much better, the concrete beneath the tiles was wet, so hopefully the new grout will las until we renovate down the track.

Cobby - I bought all the supplies and bits weeks ago when I heard we may go into this thing called a lockdown in the future. Knowing it was a job I needed to do, and the possibility of being locked in the house for a couple of weeks I went to Bunnings and got what I would need to do a few things around the house. Next up is repointing the ridge tiles on my roof.

Those grout removal tools usually do the job, or i just use a box cutter. Using a grinder is another way to do it but obviously it's easier to damage a tile or the waterproofing underneath. Is your house on a slab?

Lol all good it was taken that way on my end too. It seemed a perfect opportunity for me to get these jobs done, as pre-covid19 the jobs would go on the back burner for fishing!

Good odds?
‘Donated’ back already or still going strong or waiting for next weekend?

Good luck on the nags but don’t get stuck on the punt if bored for being off work and not able to fish. Plenty of options suggested here. I’m into the neglected garden. More details soon.
