Re: Ninja warrior
If it was less about human stories and characters and more about doing cool stuff I'd try it again.
If you like that kind of thing, check this out from I think 2005 or so.

Re: Ninja warrior
I started watching ninja warrior years ago when it was on sbs, reading subtitles. The background stories of the athletes were about what sports they compete in or practise, and how they trained and prepared for the event. Then the Australian version ruined it for me, with the typical way Australia does reality tv shows trying to pull at heart strings about the athletes personal lives, and poor commentary of the competition. The latest season may be better, I haven’t watched any of it.DougieK wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 9:02 amIf it was less about human stories and characters and more about doing cool stuff I'd try it again.

I’ll still watch the foreign series if they’re on though, and recommend looking them up.
That’s only my opinion

Re: Ninja warrior
That's a pretty much perfect description of almost all Australian 'reality' TV. MKR isn't a show about cooking, it's a show about crying cos you burnt your toast.

Re: Ninja warrior
Actually, free to air tv is just about dead anyway. I hardly watch any of it. I give it 5 years tops unless they reinvent themselves.
