FYI - Barmah Pete needed an ABN number to legally mow lawns
He is old school and does not own a computer, so for a small fee (stubby) I did it for him
After filling out all the information I got to the pay now page.
This is where it got interesting - it said the fee was $100 & thinking that's too dear, I hit the back button to exit without paying. The site immediately offered me a discount of $71, yes pay only $29, which I did.
So if you need an ABN number, do not accept the $100 fee & hope they offer you a discount.

It's not easy, I did a quick goggle search and the legitimate page for obtaining an abn free from the government, was 6 or 7 results down the page, it's easy to get charged. It shouldn't be allowed to happen, it's almost like it's a legal form of scamming. Your not the first and def wont be the last to do it..

i just googled abn and got https://www.business.gov.au/registratio ... number-abn (thats the legit site to use from the goverment btw)
