3weeks to go to second shot. Closed the border to Tassie, so can't go visit my daughter who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Meanwhile NSW gets the lion's share of this month phizer, because they screwed up.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

South Australia is locking down, turns out a guy let out of NSW hotel quarantine back on the 8th of July had covid. Assuming it is the delta variant they're going to have a hell of a time getting that back in the bottle.

These lockdowns arent getting any easier & it feels like its going to be a long, long time before we get on top of all this.
This!
We’ve got another couple of lockdowns to go, the rate we are going.
We don’t seem to be learning from our mistakes. This wave started with a driver of air crews that was not vaccinated. The Townsville cluster from a few weeks ago was a hospital worker who was unvaccinated. Yes I know you can still catch COVID if you are vaccinated but the chances are decreased!
Hopefully now that we have heaps of Pfizer coming into Oz we can get everyone vaccinated, but I won’t hold my breath thinking that the rollout will go smoothly, but here’s hoping.

I think they’ll get to 60-70% first dose and give up on pretty much all restrictions, UK-style. Good luck to anyone not vaccinated at that point because even with high vaccination rates the case numbers coming out of the UK are pretty high.

I reckon quite a few countries will be following this with interest as UK have put themselves (or Boris has) out there as an experiment. Will know in about 3 weeks how it is panning out and we will be not even close to vaccine levels by then to try. At least with the lockdowns etc we have bought ourselves time to see how this pans out.

I know we need lockdowns but how many can we have before something gives? Surely the Economy will collapse eventually. This Government should be ashamed of itself in regards to the vaccine role out. If it was handled better we would be the safest country in the world

What’s he supposed to do? Open everything up while there’s still an active outbreak?
