Im sure you have all heard about the free 250 bucks from the energy comparison deal through the government.

So anyone know what the actual story is?
Surely they are not going to give away 250 bucks without getting something out of it.
Anyone have any idea why its being done, besides the obvious thats on the website.

They did that before, and no catch. I did that and got the money. Government rebate/incentive thingy.
Compare your current bills from your current energy retailer with other retailers. You don't have to move. And that's it.

Yeah it was done sometime last year as well I believe.

Im.more concerned about a 3rd party having access to your info after you enter all your details, that sorta stuff.
As it is I get wayyy too many spam calls already.

Is the government on selling your info I agree with purple5ive I don't trust them down loaded VFA fishing app got spam calls straight away

Interestingly I had the home & car insurance bills come in this week. Rates were up by close to 20% in both cases, how do they justify this? Anyway I shopped around on the net, then lo & behold, my wife started to get ads for insurance via her ipad. Just goes to show, whatever you start searching will come up with targeted ads to your IP address, lucky I was not looking for "adult entertainment".

There's an election coming up in a few months I believe, might be Dan's way of trying to buy back votes.

There has to be a hidden agenda somewhere, if it was a legitimate handout they would deposit it in your account like they did with the stimulus packages in the past or credit your bill. Your details that you enter need to be going somewhere?
