Night time is the best time to hunt for jewfish but they can be caught most times during the day
Angling is the name given to fishing by people that can't fish

Don't need to go at night, caught plenty in the day

Daytime or night, doesn't matter. I've found that the best time is on the change of tide, especially slack low tide.
