hey 4 litres, I remember having to remove an incorrectly installed transducer from my kayak, I remember doing some research and ended up using Nail polish remover as a solvent for the Glue and hobie Outback safe. Can't remember whather the active ingredient was Acetone or Benzene. The Glue that was used came in the Hobie Inhull transducer installation pack circa 2011. I build a well around tranny and let it soak in over night and it worked a treat. might help you with keeping your sounder whole!

A new GT20-TM 4 pin transducer from Garmin is $160. If anyone's prepared to chase up parts they'll have the sounder for just over half the rrp of a new one

This is what I figured. If I take the transducer out there's a good chance it'll be a bit messy plus there's the time it would take to dissolve the entire tube of sikaflex I used to glue it in.
