No worries. It always puzzles me why they phase out rods like that which seem to have a following. JW Black Queens are another one, from what I've been told the newer ones aren't as good as the originals; surely the costs of making them the old way wouldn't be so high that they have to make a lesser quality version.

Oh the queens I have 2 with the cork handles that are over 20 years + old awesome rods?...?? Who know why

$550 pretty happy with that I could prob sell it for $800 plus but want to keep it

That's about what it's worth without the box and all the paperwork for the reel. I was only after the rod to pair up with my 1000 reel so I will keep looking. So are you going to use it or is it straight to the pool room?

I'll use it, I have the same but the Stella version on a t curve flight series, so will use both sparingly.
I know people who would pay $1000 + for the set up, even the t curve original price plus. Just depends on what you're after and if u collect old awesome rods and reels, that still put today's to a fine line

Some of the older gear like the shimano fireblood, daiwa heartland hamas special edition, daiwa battler sparrow etc are worth big $$$ now. They are on par with some of the more expensive rods made today.
