Re: 2nd hand hobie pa14 vs native watercraft manta ray 12 vs cheap copy
Thanks piscateur, I think I am now at 50-50 between manta ray 12 and slayer 10.
Yes, I will check them out at capacity sports to have a feel of them.
360 mirage is an amazing breakthrough in kayak fishing. Unfortunately will be waaaay over budget.

Ok y'all... Thanks for the input and after careful consideration I bought the Slayer 10 and my mate bought the Titan 10.5 from capacity sports. Very nice people there.
Now, one kayak even the Titan can be put on roof rack, but two is a bit difficult. Does anyone know where to get kayak trailer? Second hand possibly.
There's a few boat trailers and the usual box trailers, but hard to find kayak trailer.
Thinking something like 1.2m wide and able to stack.

I let you in on a little secret I build my own - I have upgraded recently to a longer ski trailer but have my old trailer in the drivewaySeb85 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 7:33 amNow, one kayak even the Titan can be put on roof rack, but two is a bit difficult. this was built on an 8 x 4 trailer base or 1.2 x 2.4 meters for those that use funny little french measurements
this trailer needs a clean up or rebuild but it is still regoed as a boat trailer - that means it is able to be parked at a boat ramp in the boat trailer parking spots
or I could build something that would suit your needs
PM me if you are interested

Okay, noted.
I'll have a chat with my mate. Kinda need to find out how much it'll cost to install a tow bar on my car too.

Re: native watercraft
Ready for the maiden voyage!
So as you know I bought the Slayer 10 kayak and my mate bought the Titan 10.5 kayak, both are awesome.
Spent the weekend assembling things and now they're ready!
Still waiting for couple of rod holders and paddle clips for the Slayer to arrive.
Bought pvc pipe and used as transducer holder and light holder. $2 kmart AA light. Can't afford $60 railblaza transducer holder at the moment.
Bought $9.98 tool belt from Bunnings to hold scissors, lip grip, etc.
Found cheap container with double hinged lids at Kmart. Waterproof enough and easy. Again, no money left to spend, would love to get Engel box with built in rod holder.

Haha thanks Mr Bug. Doesn't matter how dark there'll always be light. Unless it's running out of battery that is
Thanks!Lightningx wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 10:49 pmLooking good Seb!!!

Not sure yet, waiting for the perfect timing. Good weather, day off work, etc. Sun is staying longer, so even a quick session after work might do. We'll see.

Nice purchase Seb, I have a slayer 10 so feel free to ask any questions. Aslo there is a better option for your transducer mount. You can mount it on the Cavitation plate which saves u setting the PVC arm set up u have now.

Thanks Piscateur.
Cavitation plate?? Please educate me intrigued to know. Show me a photo of yours too perhaps, if you dont mind.
I have a split hand paddle that I'm thinking to put somewhere behind the seat. Where do you keep yours?
