Which reel?
Hi guys,
Looking for an upgrade for my sienna, looking to pay around 100-200$
Has to be suitable for soft plastics around the bay and squid.
I've come up with the Sedona, freams, nasci, exceler and legalis. Which one should I pick out of them, and do you guys have any recommendations?
Thanks

Re: Which reel?
I bought the nasci 5000, around 2 years ago for snapper and it handled alright and is quite smooth. But since I got it I have had some issues, at one stage the drag stopped clicking and then suddenly came back, additionally there was a slightly rough feel to it at one stage so after opening it up I found there was a small part that had fallen out and was interfering with the worm drive. And lastly there is a slight bit of give in the handle, more so than when purchased, after a very small amount of use. So wouldn’t really recommend personally, but I haven’t used the 2500 size, which I assume you are looking for? Hope this helps.

Re: Which reel?
Legalis or freams, if you want it for squid too a 2500 size would be perfect(bigger crank than the 2000). They’re very light.
Re: Which reel?
Daiwa Freams LT may be pushing the budget but when on special it should be under $200. They're light enough to cast for a few hours without trouble and have sufficient drag to have some fun with salmon when/if they show up. My Daiwa reels are 2000 sized or under and they've been good, just make sure you wipe or rinse them down regularly.

Re: Which reel?
I got a Daiwa Fuego 2500 from Amazon recently for $130, you need Prime for the free international shipping though.
I think the Legalis is around $80 on there which is a significant saving from Anaconda and whatnot.
I use mine for plastics and squid, been good so far!

Re: Which reel?
Of all five you said, I'd choose Freams.
I love my Freams LT. You can get around $180-$200 when on sale/disc.

Re: Which reel?
Not sure.
I went to Tackleworld and bought the bulk spool thing.
So they spooled it as much as it could fit and I paid whatever length it was in, was like $20-$30 jbraid.
