When I put them in the compare, they have the exact same specs. What do you like about the exceler to put it above the legalis?

Freams not the legalis
Legalis and exceller are very similar apart from how the handle screws into the reel body.

I've had a look, the freams is a bit out of my price range, forgot to add that it needs to include line. If then, what makes the exceler worth the extra 30$ over the legalis?

BCF does 20% disc everything every now and then. Freams becomes around $180
And another $20 for the line.
I have exceller and freams. To me, its worth the extra bucks for the freams.

they are much of a muchness. asthetics and different handle assembly is the only difference i know of.
bcf are having a sale on atm, so best bet is to go in store and try these reels and compare the aird x as well as shimano offerings and see which one you prefer, if fishing lures id aim for lightness over anything else as it will come into its own with prolonged use

Ah right ok,
How does the exceler/legalis stack against the freams in terms of castability?

Tough call.
I think stradic ci4 is slightly lighter but the freams feels more sturdy to me. But I'm a bit biased towards Daiwa stuff, so dont trust me completely
Both are good reels.

I have both exceler and freams. Freams is smoother, a bit lighter too, nicer drag and doesn't have the 'cheap' feeling. And, freams has magseal tech!

So they both cast nicely?
