FD is really good but they don't make them any more. FE is garbage don't buy it. FG is the newest model, haven't tried one out yet but it looks better than the FE

what are you going to use them for?
something thats been recomended for someone else might not suit your fishing needs

all sienna models are good value for money, even more when they are on special for 50 and under.
ive never used the newer one, but the older models are all good.

ill contradict the above statement and say that i have 4 FE 4000 siennas for my snapper bait fishing needs and they have been perfect and hassle free, one has even landed 4 rat kingfish.

I have an FD 4000 and a FE 4000, the FD feels sturdier in the hand and when winding, FD also has one more bearing and a little smoother..

considering you cannot buy the FD model anymore its probably pointless mentioning it i suppose, unless of course you want to try and track down a second hand model, but for a $50 reel, i dunno why you would bother.
the newer FG model has gone back to the older style and uses more bearings. the FE only has 2 bearings while the FG has 4 (3+1)
for bait fishing duties i honestly wouldnt be too concerned, if using for lures, then spend some more $$ and get a better reel imo
