Judging from the specs, the epixor seems decent for the price. Probably just a tad heavier than average if not average, depends what size you're looking and comparing. The high speed looks heavy.
Best is to have a feel and if it generates spark 😁

I had one okuma once that I literally melted while salmon fishing.

I've never heard of the other brand and hence would steer clear.

Stick to products that you know are quality, if a price seems to good to be true on a product that doesnt' have a reputation, it probably is.

Interesting. What do you mean by literally melted?
I had cheap reels in the past, mostly broken gear, cracked, but never melted.
I had Okuma Salina rod and reel for jigging years ago. Heavy but solid. Only Okuma I ever had.
I guess doesn't matter what brand, its more of the cheap models that can't be relied on in the long term.

Big salmon. Crap drag. Hot day. High speed retrieves. Plastic Okuma Trio 55.

Okuma Salina is a dam good reel. I have posted about them in the passed.

The earlier ones had issues with the frame coroding but this was later fixed.

Okuma do make some great stuff and they also make cheap stuff as does Shimano etc.

I have no person experiance with the particular reel you are looking but the specs look at.
