Different kettle of fish certainly, but the 3-10lb majorcraft baitcast rod I have is not only one of the ballsiest lighter rods i own, but is ridiculously sensitive and capable of 1gm-7gm lure weights. I wouldn't discount any rod purely on listed specs
Which major craft?
He was talking about his baitcaster Seb.

Honestly Seb if you're just using it to through plastics and stuff to like 10gs the Daiwa Sol 2-4kg 7ft rod does me nicely. I catch heaps of pinkies and flatties land based with it, i also have used it catching decent squid throwing 3.0 size jigs from the boat and have used it down rivers for trout. It's cheap and has everything you need. Plus it can taken a bit of a beating and at just over $100 you won't stress about it that much.

I throw on my 2500 ci4 with 10 pound braid and it throws slim swims with 1/4oz jig heads no worries.

Or NS make nice rods..

From memory cobby has a volkey 652ul bfs.
I've got the 692xul bfs and the 682l bfs both really nice rods but not really suited for what you want imo.

Volkey bfs652ul. Like Alex said its not really suited for what you want, I throw hards and spinnerbaits with it 99% of the time for Bass. But it's an example where ratings on paper don't really match up to what it's capable of. It's subdued some bloody good fish out of rocky terrain.

I was so close to get the TD Sol 702 when Dinga had the Easter sale on the Easter weekend. Again, somehow I'm fond of cork grip. Didn't get the TD Sol because it's not cork.

Do it Seb, you wont be disappointed. Cork has a nice feel but degrades over time and needs maintenance. I honestly don't feel the difference when I'm zoned in casting lures.. It's all in the blank and the guides.

If I can't get Black Label 6102, I will seriously consider getting TD Sol, a good small upgrade from the raider for now.
Who knows there might be black label v3.

Let us know how you go.

I bought a N.S Black Hole Dark Horse Bass not too long ago. It's my first N.S rod. They make a nice rod for the price

Ok so I've narrowed down the options. Apart from Black Label v2 6102 (trying to find), here they are, what do you think:

NS Ones micro 702L 4-8 lb $263.96
NS Ones S-652L 4-8 lb $219
NS Explorer S-702L 4-8 lb $259
Daiwa TD Black Ltd pinster 642lfs 2-5kg $219.95
NS dark horse bass v2 s-672 4-8lb $199
Daiwa Black Label travel 703 2-4kg $299

I just called trellys and Compleat Angler Ringwood. Hookup bait and tackle closed. Armadale Angling has the 703.
Southern sportsfishing closed permanently?
Gonna call koliou.
