Hi I have bought secondhand a Slazenger Obsession lure rod.
I am wondering if it's any good? If so what reel would I get for lure fishing?
Cheers Tarnia

Didn't know they make fishing rods.
What's the spec? E.g. how many kg and casting weight etc?
And what's your budget for the reel?

Hi it says 202cm one piece. 5-10 kg lurecasting baitcasting. Looking at spending $200 on a reel. How do you know if it's any good?

Hard tell just by looking at the photos. I googled it and not many results. Looks like a graphite rod.
5-10kg baitcast rod here in Vic is usually for murray cod fishing. You can use in saltwater too with overhead reel.

Shimano Curado baitcast reel is a good reel for around $200 for murray cod fishing.

I mostly fish saltwater. I will go and check the reel out. I could find nothing on the rod . It's super light.
Thank you for your help really appreciate it. :ch:

No worries.

For salt, checkout shimano tranx, usually around $250, good for salt.
