Your prevail rod is definitely superior to aird in terms pf technicality.

I don’t know but he uses it and it casts better feels better and overall just seems better he said if he had a choice between a top of the line like my prevail or a aird he would rather have a aird

Fishing rods are a very personal thing, that's why we have many rods for different situations, each rod feels comfortable for the given task, just because a well known fishing identity recommends a particular rod doesn't mean it's the best rod, the rod needs to be handled in person, the seasoned angler will know straight away if the rod feels "Right" the amount of flex, how it loads up. how far down the blank does it load up, and then there's the "feel" factor which can't be measured, Yes it's very personal so there's no right or wrong rod, it's what your comfortable with.

Thanks mate I’m not looking for it for me though I’m looking for him to try find one for him so if he loves the way it feels and it works for him I’ll do my best to find him one so it’s not really about whether it would be good for me
