Shimano Zodias 2020
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to get a new rod for the mulloways, and I was thinking of getting the Shimano Zodias 2020 6-12lb 7'0. Does anyone have any experience with the zodias/are there are any other rods in a similar price range that is better?
Cheers!

I know someone who landed a 100cm mulloway not long ago on a Zodias 6-12lb rod, they are probably the best rods in that price range, I'm assuming you will be using it for soft plastic fishing

Re: Shimano Zodias 2020
I bought a zodias 270m I believe it is. To replace a broken steez thunderstorm. It's a nice rod and have caught a few pinkies on it. Looking forward to using it on an upcoming jew trip. I'll be using it primarily with vibes. Or plastics up to 4".
I also bought a Jackall revoltage s70m. 10-25lb. This rod is an absolute beast. As light as your average 2-4kg rod. Perfect for throwing 1/4 to 1/2oz jigheads as required depending on current etc.

The older model is on sale at tackleworld for Round 175 odd bucks. Great rods specially at that price.

How heavy do you recommend?
Any models you recommend in particular
That is great to hear, and yes I will be using soft plastics!Seniorfisho wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 9:57 pmI know someone who landed a 100cm mulloway not long ago on a Zodias 6-12lb rod, they are probably the best rods in that price range, I'm assuming you will be using it for soft plastic fishing
How are you finding the 270m, do you think it would be too light for mulloways? And how does the zodias compare to the revoltage?ducky wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 5:56 amI bought a zodias 270m I believe it is. To replace a broken steez thunderstorm. Re: Shimano Zodias 2020
this might be a bit light but this is the best lure flicking rod I have ever owned, it is light and smooth and it works great, good for trout and other fish like trout. I would recommend it.
